Located just a 15-minute drive from the beautiful campus of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, The White Oak Inn offers comfortable accommodations and fine dining for college visitors. Several of our rooms have sleeping space for three or four guests, making them perfect for families of prospective Kenyon College students to stay while visiting the campus.

For major college events such as Kenyon's Family Weekend or Graduation Weekend, we offer preferred status to those families with prior stays at the Inn. Please see the calendar below for dates and our availability status. Don't despair if the date you want is showing as full. We do keep and use waiting lists, and it is not unusual for plans to change and a room to become available at the last minute for one of these popular dates.
Dining at The White Oak Inn
Our dining room is open to the public for dinner on a space-available basis. We serve dinner at 7 p.m. each evening. Reservations are requested. The menu changes daily to take advantage of local fresh produce and meats. We are happy to accommodate vegetarian, low-fat, or diabetic diets. The cost is $35 to $40 a person for a complete four-course meal including non-alcoholic beverages. Please call to make reservations or check the menu. 740-599-6107
The Brown Family Environmental Center at Kenyon College
Kenyon's environmental center opened in 1995. Today it consists of approximately 380 acres of gardens, habitats, river, wetlands, and open prairie, as well as the Miller Observatory. The environmental center's mission includes fulfilling the educational goals of the college, but more importantly, providing environmental education to the local community. Year round, Kenyon's BFEC offers many programs that are open to the public. Some of these programs include nature walks, a bluebird box building workshop, wild edible workshop, stargazing at the observatory, and an Earth Day Health Expo. Most programs are free. Sometimes a small fee is charged to cover materials.
